Currently Fusion (who run a number of pools round London and the East Midlands). Their FAQ (http://fusion-lifestyle.com/FAQ) has a section at the beginning "Appropriate swimwear: Bikinis, Tankinis, Swimming costumes, Swimming dresses, Trunks, Close fitting long or short sleeved swim shirts, Lycra swim leggings, Knee length shorts" and "Inappropriate swimwear: Underwear, Denim or heavy garments, cotton leggings, long flowing clothes, baggy teeshirts, offensive or obscene pictures or slogans." So probably anything not explicitly mentioned is up to the lifeguard on duty. It appears mainly to cover the case where loose or baggy clothing could get tangled up with other swimmers in the same lane, and with cotton's effect on the pool pH value (thus man-made materials such as rayon, nylon, polyester, acrylic, polyamide, etc. are all defacto acceptable), I usually just go for it, and see if the lifeguard comes over to talk to me. I won't try the kaftan unfortunately because although its material is acceptable, it is definitely "long and flowing". Most other pools such as Waterworld and Moorways will probably have similar dress code. The only pool that really gaslighted me was the now defunct Croydon Water Palace in the 1990's but luckily pool dress codes have seriously improved since then :) Of course they can still be circumvented by those friendly with the lifeguard, or those who book the pool for a party or whatever (hence the Wedding Dress). I must be some sort of a pervert (yeah I am) I see wetlook regularly in real life, last week's highlight was a woman wearing leather leggings in our local pool, but...I still find wetlook photos exciting, either candid or producer, give me all haha

Does anybody find it gets less exciting looking at wetlook photos/videos when you find this repeatedly at your local public pool (i.e. long-sleeved swimtops nd leggings, and even the occasional shoes)? And then when they get out, they go under the shower in it :) Okay, nobody in a long baggy dress or a fur coat yet. But when the pool rules say "no long or flowing clothing, or denim" luckily swimmers treat this as "... but anything else is game". Let's hope this lasts :D Always fill your day with wonderful things :)
