Would she even reply? I have no idea — so many people don’t.
As for five years having passed — who knows. As my life goes by, I accumulate more and more experiences and ideas that I find myself unable to impart on anyone. I suspect in her case that she does not classify her experience as anything with that level of relevance.
Trust me though, a down-the-shitter conversation would not be good for either of us.
As for anyone bringing up something like hair up vs down — many things still occupy and consume conscious thought even if they are not spoken out loud. They may also be matters discussed only with other female friends, and not with you. |

By Jerome - Sun 26/02/23 04:56:06 GMT I doubt she'd reply, seeing how her last post is from five years ago. Nothing wrong with conversations going down the shitter as long as you learn from the experience.
Most of my female friends who got into water fully clothed thought surprisingly little of it. It was just a fun new experience, I was never able to "convert" anyone though. I have never heard anyone bringing up the issue of hair up vs down, most were just concerned with salt or chlorine messing up their clothes or shoes. They weren't even bothered about ruining their makeup.
As far as it not being a "proper job" yeah, I can see your point as there is also swimsuits under the clothes and no shoes. Still, it's cool they found it fun. |

By Malvineous - mrnemesis@ntlworld.com Thu 23/02/23 22:16:34 GMT Hmm … Having looked at that page, I considered, for a while, enquiring with her about the experience. I might have even done so, in the past. However, it’s become ever increasingly apparent recently just how incompatible I am with other people, and from her blog the evidence seems clear that any attempt at conversation would spiral down into the shitter very quickly. Hell, I would never go to a “pool prom” — that’s torture to an introvert. I don’t go into my non-wetlook interests here, but suffice it to say, they’re not even in-line with other people with nominally a shared interest.
There is just so little data about normal folk feel about getting wet. What are the rules for hair-up vs hair-down when swimming? Does wet hair even register on anyone else’s mind, or is it just so mundane as to be completely unnoticed and irrelevant? I have no-one to ask those kinds of questions of, but I don’t want to drag anyone else into the shithole that is my head — that’s simply unfair of me to impose on anyone.
I noticed, though, a distinct lack of anyone getting their hair wet, so it wasn’t a proper job. At least there is the token unafraid hairy guy … |
