Wetlook World Forum

Before 1995 all you could look for, as a wetlook fan, were books and magazines. I found my first book specifcally about wetlook, in 1972, when I found the paperback book "Wet Girls" in a London Soho bookstore.

Soon after that several wetlook photographers (i.e. Colin Twyford) started submitting their photos to Fiesta Magazine. The publisher (Paul Raymond) was a fan of wetlook and he often featured wet clothing models in his Fiesta and Razzle magazines in the 1970's.

In the USA things started eariler than in the UK, because you had the glamour magazine called "Night and Day" that had a wetlook competition in the 1950's and they offer prizes to wetlook photographers who submitted their wetlook photos in the mid 1950's. Also you had the RVAL film company making the first series of wetlook business suit films and photosets in the 1950's as well. I was too young to see those in the mid 50''s but Wetfan and Roger Carpenter of Aquantics (who sadly passed away 2 weeks ago) saved them all and passed their collections of vintage wetlook magazine articles and photos onto me for preservation.

In the UK there were books and magazines in the 1970's that featured wetlook models, but those were not 100% wetlook, and were mixed in with other general adult media. Working for Fiesta Magazine in the 1970's was writer Bill Shipton, and in 1989 he established the first Wet and Messy magazine called "Splosh". However, Splosh magazine and The Wetlook Magazine in the USA (run by Wetfan) ceased circulation once the internet exploded by the late 1990's.

Since then there has been no wetlook books or magazines in the last 25 years, because now everything is digital and online.

A friend of mine, Tony K from Zurich, published ":The Wetlook Movie Guide": in 1992, but that ceased existence once the internet exploded.

The era of hardcopy magazines and books about wetlook ended 20 years ago.....now everything you want can be found on the internet.

In the 1960's I used to spend hours and hours at the Public Libary, reading wetlook stories or looking at old movie books.....but I stopped going to the library 25 years ago.

Just ask "Siren" who runs the Wetlook Stories site from Belgium.....if it would be worth his while to create a hard copy book of his collected wetlook stories. He would never recoup his publishing costs, which is why Splosh Magazine went out of business,
