The funny thing is, last time someone tried to post in Cyrillic, I did write out a full explanation of the process. The problem is that this forum doesn't have "Stickies", and whoever posted this wasn't even aware of the problem. You'd have to "sticky" the post for anyone to find it, otherwise nobody's going to succeed in locating my post (and I doubt honestly that anyone would expect any such post to exist).
The solution is to type in Cyrillic (or Hebrew, or anything else non-Latin), hit Preview (which converts non-Latin text to HTML entities), then tick the HTML Tags button, and then Submit. It's complicated: doing this disables newlines, auto-links and valid HTML escaping, and making further edits will be awkward. For the kind of brief posts that we do see, it's going to be OK, but it's not a good way to work if you decide to conduct your business here in Greek/Russian/Hebrew etc :-)
Honestly I think the class 700 looks pretty cool -- I've warmed to it now. I never cared for the version the Scots got, and your new Hitachi trains look pretty weird too, but I'd rate them above Siemens. Not sure why you didn't go Electrostar!
My beef with Siemens is the pull-away sound -- it's like those stupid keyfobs in the 80s that had buttons that made silly sounds. The 700 still has the wretched Siemens wail. |

How did you do that? Since the subject of using Russian letters on the Forum comes up quite regularly, maybe you could put up an explanation of how to show them, putting keywords in the 'subject' so that future Cyrillic users can easily find your explanation using the Forum search box.
By the way (OT), I saw a couple of your new Class 700s for the first time on my way into Kings Cross a couple of days ago. I have no idea whether they will offend your ears, but it would certainly offend my eyes to regularly have to look at one of these approaching me! Oddly, the front end of Scotrail's 380s (also Siemens, of course, and pretty obviously from the same design team) look much better despite having the gangway connection. |

This is just a string of numbers - probably Russian letters, which the Forum software cannot deal with. I suggest the poster uses Google translate then reposts in English. |
