Almost every fetish appears to be strange to outsiders. Wetlook is a rare fetish, therefore the acceptance is even lower than for other more known fetishes. Fetishes are personal likes and for most there will always be a majority who does not get and perceives it as weird. But I would be surprised that wetlook will be found utterly disgusting by most outsiders. It is pretty harmless as fetishes go. From my very limited point of view: There are even parts of the wetlook fetish that I do not fully comprehend, such as why a lot of people are so much into wet socks or shoes (I don't mind wet shoes/socks, but I don't really feel that kind of enthusiasm for that myself, which makes it hard to understand). Other related aspects of wetlook, I would strongly dislike watching or doing by myself, such as all the messy stuff. Maybe those models feel about wetlook (it is not their thing) such as I about messy (it is not my thing). I would not blame anybody for liking it (especially things my personal likes are also a little bit exotic from a main stream point of view), I just would not want to get involved. But many fetishes require more than just a little bit of exposure to water (I thinking about peeing, BDSM, even more uncomfortable(personal opinion) things) and I always wondered why people would do such things just for money (if they don't get a bit of enjoyment out of it).

I had an exchange on one forum where we discussed the shower shows of ETV, the European erotic satellite TV channel I mentioned several times before on the forum. This channel has been known for fully or semi clothed showers and other fetish requests live on TV in their night show and internet only premium streams.

This guy basically said this about the models performing the showers: Most of the girls absolutely hate doing them, especially fully clothed, and indeed ETV classed them along with pantyhose, balloons, oil, etc etc as one of the fetishes they were trying to get rid of. The problem with the fetish requests was that the girls don't really like them and find them both puzzling and tedious.

So I felt a bit low after this. That is why I ask: Is our fetish strange and are we weirdos? Are those models on those many websites dong it only for the money?
