There is no such thing as disabling image download. If the image is on your computer, it's too late.
There are plenty of workarounds. Right-click disabled? In Firefox, you can shift-right click to bypass the right-click blocker.
Complicated HTML hierarchy such that the browser doesn't recognise that the item being right-clicked as being an image or having a background image? In Firefox, go to Tools > Page Info and click Media to view all the images on the page.
Flash object that loads the images directly? Use an add-on such as AdBlock Plus to capture the object sub-request URLs raised by the SWF, and save them. YouTube came up with a complex arrangement of video fragments that defeats this, but plenty of websites and add-ons have worked their way around this regardless.
If all else fails, just take a screenshot! Few people can't tell the increase in JPEG artefacts that results in saving a JPEG of a JPEG. |
