I think they just may be enormously popular in Russia. I mean the white ones. They have been for the past many years in Poland, which is nearby. You see the white ones and the classic black all the time and other colors or high-tops waaaaay less often. In the West of Europe, overall there may be a bit less chuks or vans or any other sport shoe the east seems to regard as widely popular for a reason on girls, but they are much more diverse in color and style.
