Strange with these old sets. A photographic resolution of 720 x 576 is of course not impressive compared to today's standard, but yet they have some qualities, which many of the newer sets don't have.

Have you ever considered using one of the modern image enlargement packages like PhotoZoom from Benvista.com or online services like reshade.com, which ought to be able to enlarge the pictures to at least a hight of 1080 pixels with very little loss of quality?
