You'll notice that my caps are not all the same quality... the ones of Elizabeth in the blue dress are from clips I downloaded years ago (c. 2001) and aren't as good as the other screen caps which I took from the Netflix player.

The process I used was:

1.  Play the episode in Netflix and pause on the frame of interest

2.  Maximize the player

3.  Print screen

4.  Paste the image into (believe it or not) good ol' Windows Paint and save as .png (creates a rather large file)

5.  Open the file in a program called "Paint.NET", crop out the black bars, and re-save (still png and still rather large)

6.  Upload to my site; the upload process converts the png to jpg, substantially shrinking its size without sacrificing too much quality.

The tricks are:

1.  Capture as large an image as possible (mine was 800 pixels vertical because I did it on a modest sized laptop, although I could have used a desktop and gone 1080.

     Since the netflix stream is probably only 480 lines, I suppose 480 pixels vertical should be enough, but you'd want your playback image to exactly match the number of lines in the netflix stream - not one pixel more or less or you'll get losses from rescaling. If you're not matching the stream resolution exactly, or sizing to an exact whole number multiple of it, bigger is better.

     In hindsight, I probably should have done it on my desktop - the result could have been a bit better.

2.  Don't save as jpg if you intend to do more processing on the image (even if you're just cropping); use a lossless format instead (e.g. png).

3.  When you're done editing, choose a good converter for png->jpg. Being the software wizard I am, I used a converter available in the web technology in which my site is implemented... it's a good one.

     I'm pretty sure the same one is used in the Paint.NET program. I don't think the one in Windows Paint is all that great, and I'm not so sure about the one in Microsoft Office Picture Manager either.

I think I'll try to redo the two wet caps and see how they come out. I can probably save a step or two as well (paste straight into Paint.NET)

Bottom line....there were no other wetlook scenes in that series that we do not know about.

ps....how were you able to capture and download from Netflix, cos in the USA and UK versions of Netflix there is no ability to download, and all you can do is use screen capture program, which produces pretty crappy results.

I found the two episodes where some clips had been circulated, and in the process, found a couple of messy scenes too (which I've also catalogued).

For some reason, I believe there may be at least a couple more... I haven't scanned all the episodes yet... but you can see what I've identified here:

By the way, I'm accessing Netflix through a Canadian IP address, so I don't get to see nearly as much content as the U.S. folks... perhaps 10% of their library.
