One of the first times I realized I loved wetlook was a Sports Illustrated issue where a gal named Libby was "dunked by her Sunfish" sailboat, with her "Head tank top emerging good as new...maybe better." She was braless and, gasp, you could actually see her nipples through the clinging fabric. And then for the next 20 years or so, almost every swimsuit issue featured at least one drenched see-through shirt (with my favorite being the yellow top that Elle wore). And never forget the fishnet swimsuit with Cheryl's eye-popping nipples that created a national sensation in the 70s.

Sadly, it would seem that SI would be documenting the evolutionary disappearance of the female nipple. Now I haven't seen this year's print version, but the web site is absurdly Photoshopped. Lots of flimsy tops designed to go transparent when wet, but alas--no nipples underneath. Looks ridiculous. What is the point? Where is the point?

But with Stormy's work, you will NEVER need to worry about that. When the archaeologists dig up our layer of history, let's hope the record will reflect that the women of the 21st century did have the ability to breast-feed their children (and fill out a wet t-shirt the way God intended).
