Sorry. I doubt I could get time off in early September, I don't want the responsibility of using someone else's camera, my camcorder is low rez and not waterproof, and I have dialup internet so no way to upload footage (the Kern County Library doesn't allow uploading from their computers, and my cars are both unreliable pieces of junk that I refuse to drive more than 150 miles from Bakersfield in any direction so I ride buses or trains if I need to travel further.

An attempt to break the world's record of the largest ever water balloon fight will take place in Bakersfield on a Saturday in late August. I don't know yet if I will be off that day. I will go if I am off, but my camcorder is low rez and not waterproof, I have no way to upload footage, and the backgrounds would be loaded with children so it would do nothing but spark a flame war.

No....it's not that time quite yet....those pics are misleading cos while the header page says 2011...check the actual date of those photos and they were all shot in July 2010..so those are scenes from last year's events.

FYI this years event will take place in early September, so if anybody lives near Lake Tahoe and wants to film these events, let me know if you need a camera and some funds for travel expenses. I have video footage from 2009 when a friend of mine attended this event, but he was unable to attend last year so we did nott get any footage last year.

Hey Desert Hawk....this is perfect for you....you can take a trip to Reno and go gambling and then drive up to Tahoe and see wetlook too.....I will even throw in some gambling money for you to play with.
