gowns are used more the less universally in such situations in Scandinavia as well

Firstly, I love the Baptisms on You Tube etc. But then I don't believe in religion etc, so easy for me to say. Each to their own.

Secondly, I do notice these baptisms are so different (from a Wetlook POV) depending where they are taking place. The British and European baptisms really do just happen in 'street clothes' i.e. what you'd normally see somebody wearing on the street, which to me is proper wetlook....but those in the US seem to show people wearing at best shorts/t-shirts, which to me are NOT wetlook (each to their own etc :-)), at worse a massive gown.
