I have dial-up also for my internet. It's a shame that cable don't come out our way. I could use Hughes Net, or Wildblue for my internet but it costs a lot of money per month, both of them are worthless (satellite internet). |
In reply to Message (41289.2.1.1.1.1.2.1.1.1.1) I use dialup!
By Desert Hawk - Fri 18/09/09 17:45:11 GMT I still use dialup! MSN. I still live with my parents and the cable and telephone are not in my name and I do not wish to assume those bills myself, so my only option is dialup. I get to use a fas connection when I go to Las Vegas, at the library and at my friend's house. I do not like second life anything, wetlook or otherwise. |
In reply to Message (41289.2.1.1.1.1.2.1.1.1) Re:Please define ordinary
By Mahoney - Fri 18/09/09 15:31:34 GMT IMHO ordinary contant is real-life wetlook featuring women. This makes up about 99% of all posts on this forum. So IMHO all the other types (male, crossdresser and animated) should be tagged. This is really not discrimination. Just saving dial-up users clicking on the message and the link. And with Internet being so "heavy" as it is nowadays, dial-up times are hellish. And dial-up users still do exist, or at least statistics state that. I was recently painfully aware of how slow connection un-friendly the net is, when I had broadband down for the weekend. |

By xbertx1 - Fri 18/09/09 14:10:16 GMT I see the problem. If you are on dial-up you may wait long and not get what you expected.
But, is thre really any ordinary wetlook? And who decides what is ordinary and what's not?
Maybe a tagging system like the once used in youtube or flickr would be a solution. Then every content could be tagged. |
In reply to Message (41289.2.1.1.1.1.2.1) think about people on dial-ups....
By Mahoney - Fri 18/09/09 12:01:41 GMT They can't offend, but for people on dial-ups clicking the links is a waste of time and money, so all content out of the ordinary should be clearly listed as such, IMHO. |
In reply to Message (41289.2.1.1.1.1.2) No new Rule please
By xbertx1 - Fri 18/09/09 11:40:42 GMT I don't really like those computer animated images. But I don't believe that they can really offend somebody. Or do they? IMO, new rules should only be applied on serious issues. |
In reply to Message (41289.2.1.1.1.1) Time for a new rule, Nigel
By Mahoney - Fri 18/09/09 05:56:18 GMT There are rules that male or crossdresser wetlook must be clearly stated in the title, animated wetlook should also be. The rules where made in the days that noone even anticipated such a thing would happen, but now they should be changed. IMHO the critisizm is justified in the response to this post, as "WSL" doesn't tell people anything - most will see it probably stands for "Wetlook Second Life" only after cliking the link, as so, the ad is really a bit of a trick to boost traffic. It should clearly say [animated] in the title, as let's face it. Most people are not interested in this wetlook, it is a niche, as well as xdresser or male wetlook and should be ruled by the same rules. Mahoney. |

By Ben - dujamaisvu@hotmail.com Thu 17/09/09 06:50:55 GMT Website: http://wetlookinsl.netbec.net Good news ! The SL resident model Tonia Klees accept to join the WSL team. She and Fanny already work on some exciting photos sessions projects.
But for now, there is a small two-shots peak including Tonia and our famous Fanny Trafalgar. All this and more on http://wetlookinsl.netbec.net.
Best regard!
