http://www.imagevenue.com, for example, is very nice image hosting. To inset an image as an image it is required to check the Tags (tick here checkbox in the forum replay page and to insert an HTML (lowest) string from the Imagevenue final page to your replay.

I've got some posted online and I'm still struggling to insert the image in an actual message. Maybe I'm missing somethng in the directions, I don't know. Any advice?

You can't link directly to photos on your own PC, they have to be on a webhost somewhere.

Just had a question on inserting images saved on my computer into a message. These images have not been uploaded onto a website, just saved on the hard drive. Probably something very easy I'm not catching. You'll have to excuse me as I don't post that often (but here every day!)
