I subscribe to the premise that most people have an attraction/ revulsion to wet clothing situations. This diametrical mixture of emotions can swing in favor, or against any person who becomes a public exhibition in wet clothing. Wet clothes are perceived as either erotic or replusive as well. The person who is wet clothed, either likes it, or does not.. sometimes a little of both.

Men have a tougher time with this, since it's culturally unacceptable that any man put on any public exhibition that suggests anyhing sexual. It's more permissible on the other hand that female be an exhibitionist, especially male observers would be more forgiving.. (of course) Female observers perceive this as competitive, and being non-participants that the exhibitionist is looked upon scornfully

In a public setting, having fun is just having fun. Females... again ... have a greater margin of tolerance, since in our culture, females are regarded as naturally more emotional, men more controlled. So... a man having fun, wet in his business suit would tend to be scorned by other men. The common labels would be that "that guy must be either flaky or gay, or a weirdo".

Regardless if any wetlooker is male or female, having FUN publically in wet clothes is generally acceptable. If this is done strictly in a more deliberate way, just because (they) want to, a more serious wetting of the clothes if you will, then this is strictly perceived as a sexual public display, and entirely unacceptable. But women get away with far more.

There may be a few exceptions, for example, there is a little sandy beach here on the Hudson River, where hikers (male and female) sometimes enter the water with their trainers and socks on, some all the way in, and nobody seems to care at all. This is perceived that they're hot, and just cooling off, no big deal! (yet is is LOL) I have observed ladies walking their dogs, then entering the water with the dog... one attractive lady in her office pants suit, dark dress socks and mid heel loafers (just in a little so the waves topped her shoes, but wonderful) I have not been to the little sandy beach for several years... maybe this year once or twice.. there's always a wet clothed person sighting there it seems.

This as well, the "onlookers" (have to laugh at my own terminology) are also perceived as "sicko" by the general public viewpoint. Although this is heresey, since they who complain are the same people who obsess over low cut tshirts or whatever a well endowed lady may be wearing.

In Europe, this isn't so much an issue.

I agree with the wetsuitman, the original poster, that is wonderful indeed to enjoy the experience of going in straight (as I say) But unfortunately, this is better to be done (quietly and seriously) for the singular purpose of sexual arousal... in private! Go for it! Do it to your heart's desire. I agree that in public you need a cover.. a simple alibi .. (maybe your friends egging you on, a bet maybe) still risky!

if there are two or more of you then no problem, just giggle and laugh, maybe you or your friend chase / push the other in, if you do it that way rather than pretend to fall in then les people will laugh at you, if they think it was an accident they might call out and jest you which could make you or your friend feel embarased or uneasy

if they think you are fooling around and dont mind getting wet then they won't have alot to jeer about, although you might get a few calls of appreciation ( wet girl) but that is something that will make you feel great rather than unhappy

when you get wet alone in public and no one else is wet (ie not raining) it can be un nerving

when you are with some one else its great

go for it!!

I love wetlook,like seeing ladies dressed and soaked but admit I find it very exciting wetting in my own clothes as well,especialy in a smart suit.I also find it very exciting the concept of getting wet deliberately with people around to see it rather than doing it secretly in a river or lake hidden by bushes or whatever,Im sure others here know that feeling when one is dressed for a soaking,a secluded spot is found and knowing your going to get all wet!Having done this many times in the past I really want to wade into water in my suit,shoes and socks,shirt and tie and get fully soaked knowing people can see but without being embarrased to do it.I know jeans and t shirt are probably more unlikely to draw attention but a smart suit needs a reason to get wet,short of accidently falling into a river,but why would I be close to a river in my suit in first place?

Anyone who can shed a few ideas on this would be much appreciated,I do have a ladyfriend who will get wet but same story as me what would others think when people see you?The annual serpentine swimming clubs all clothes race would be a possible good bit of fun but I dont think anyone can just join in but Im sure events like that would be a good start to just wade in not caring about my suit getting soaked,basicly I want others to see me do it but without any possible comments about being stupid or whatever.
