Actually....that formula I quoted is not accurate.
A more accurate formula is WL = B + D + A
That formula works...no matter what your clothing preferences are.
If any of those elements are missing, then the scene is a dud....i.e it is like ordering a Big Mac....and they forgot to include the hamburger...ha ha

By Chiezo - chiezo@onego.ru Tue 24/02/09 00:04:18 GMT I agree it's a shame that she isn't seen stepping out of water. I think anything more interesting from this scene have left on a BBC cutting room floor. This scene is interesting to me to some degree because I'm a pantyhose lover.
Funny formula. I'll try to use it in practice ;)
I think the Ace wetlook scenes that MK mentioned are somewhere in these episodes: http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0027372/filmoseries I'll try to find them. Maybe there is more wetlook in them. |

By Anonymous - Mon 23/02/09 06:06:24 GMT Yes, it certainly looks like she has pantyhose on in the water. Too bad it doesn't show her get out...she's nice! |

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Mon 23/02/09 03:34:25 GMT Precisely Anthony....the term is called wet"look"....which means....the "look" of wet clothing,....and in order to see the "look" of wet clothing.....we MUST see the girl get OUT of the water.....and so this is not a wetlook scene..she never gets out of the pool.....it is merely a head shot of a girl''s head in the water. Wet"look" needs to be seen....not imagined (unless it is a story).
I rest my case....I said this was not a wetlook scene...and it is not...cos we do not see the girl get out of the water...so the best I can say about this scene...is that it is a UYI scene (a Use Your Imagination scene).
As Einstein said...the Wetlook formula of relativity is " B = DA squared"....i.e. BDA (Before wet, During wet, After wet).
This scene is a D....with no B and no A....and that is called an "in progress scene...with no aftermath". |

By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Mon 23/02/09 01:49:08 GMT Looks to me like she was swimming in her tan minidress. Hard to tell for sure from that clip though. I think the point here is that it doesn't really qualify as a wetlook scene because you can't really see what she is wearing - you don't clearly see wet clothing on her body. I don't remember that scene despite watching the show for many years, including the entire time she was on it. It does leave me wondering if the clip might have left out anything interesting.

By Chiezo - chiezo@onego.ru Sun 22/02/09 17:54:02 GMT Addendum to the last Doctor Who discussion. I have found the Leela scene mentioned by watershed. This is The Invasion of Time, part 1, from 1978 season. Hmm, I'm sure she swims in pantyhose! Odd... But nice :)
