I'd have to say that Rob Blaine was the true "godfather of WAM" (and wetlook). MK and Nigel are certainly among the "founding fathers" of the wetlook world as we know it today. I know that MK would also credit Bill Shipton (Splosh) and I believe also Roger Carpenter (Aquantics?), although I'm not all that familiar with their work. Certainly Graham and Kev of Styx etc. are pillars of the wetlook world today.

The term "icon" suggests to me more of who might represent wetlook in front of the camera rather than behind it. I'd have to put my vote to Jo Bache. If I'm not mistaken, she has accumulated a larger body of WAM and wetlook modeling work for more producers than any other model I can think of. That should easily earn her singular distinction as "icon".

There have been many talented girls who have provided many hours of excellent wetlook entertainment... it would be almost impossible to come up with a list which doesn't leave out someone of significance. I would start my list with Tyra, Kirsta Breunig, and include Champagne, WetlookUnlimited's Ivy, Minx's Louise, Lisamoomin, and "Moominmodel" Steph, Dominique of "The Long Hair Site"... geez I can go on and on!

Who would you consider to be an "icon" in the wetlook world? One of those people who made it what it is today -- think if there was a "Wetlook HOF" these would be some of the unanimous, first-ballot people to be enshrined there.

Now, I don't know what stage wetlook is in (ie. infancy, peak, about finished, etc.) - some of you old-timers here would have a better guess to that than I would - and as such it may be a little tougher (or easier) to identify such candidates.

Weird question (and probably a weird way of asking), but it could provide material for something useful.
