I tried my own wetlook site a couple of years ago,I only had one model,my girlfriend,we both thought we could maybe make a little money with it.She would use lots of different outfits and we spent the summer months taking loads of pictures,hoping to use them as updates.We always got great comments on here when posting pictures and my site barred me almost immediately fo exceeding my bandwith.So I upgraded,the site traffic was incredible,but this has to be paid for!

Despite the good comments both here and on umd we never made a penny!

My enjoyment from putting it together made up for that though ;)

Just a thought on this,a lot of very good material is available for free,I have joined a number of sites,only to find it's like buying a cd,one good track then a load of crap ones.

We call ourselves a community and maybe we should try putting the fun back into wetlook,I have always enjoyed wetlook,as I guess we all do,so we should'nt be trying to make money out of it,we should share what we have for free!! for the benefit of everyone.

Anyone setting up a new site,don't bother,just enjoy what you are doing,post the pics,share them,and take pride in the comments you get back,above all have fun doing it,I certainly did.

And give John a break at least he made some sort of attempt.So get out there and take pictures!!!

Kinda with there on the hobby thing. Me an Chrissie have been gettin wet together all our married lives. A few people encouraged us to show our pics and praised Chrissie for the wetlook she did. From there she was encouraged to start a site and a good friend put it together for her. www.chrissiewet.com is the result. Chrissie doesn't make any money but she sure does have a lot of fun! A lot of people have been very generous and donated money to say thanks for the site and we give them some extra stuff to say thanks. We do update regularly as we like to see new stuff too. You're all welcome to drop by and have a look, there's loads of free stuff and more to come. If you choose to donate that's great, if you don't then enjoy the pics!

Getting the 'hump' publicly doesn't win many friends - to all of you who consider yourselves our friends through the site, Chrissie sends a big kiss and a wet hug! If you wanna join them then drop by and say hello!

What did you expect? Making a wetlook site is a hobby, not a real business.

I dont know how much money get the real professional sites, but I dont think it is so much. In our purely amateur site we had in 14 months 384 purchases, 80 % for photos of my wife (Sara), and 15 % for photos of Sophy. We had an avarage of 90 Euros by month. My wife expected 0 (zero), she was surprised that there are people who give money for this, when there is a lot of free photo material on the web... Having 90 Euros monthly is a hobby, nothing more, even in our case, when in reality we have no expenses: no paid website, no paid host name, the only thing is the commission deducted by PayPal and MoneyBookers.

There is big money in the porn. But wetlook is not porn.

I've been offering memberships and other items this week at half price and there have been no sales. None, nada, nothing. In fact, the site never makes money so I'm thinking of shutting it down. Why should I pay for hosting when people just want to freeload? By the way, the domain name will not be for sale. But when current memberships expire I'm not going to continue paying for the site when nobody buys anything.

People bitch about the lack of new material but the reason for that is simple: no money to produce new material. So it's FUCK YOU to the freeloaders.
