I was so saddened to hear about this awful act of violence. The violence that followed the assassination is sad too--It's understandable that people are in grief, but I hope it won't result even more killing. Let it be known that many people in America here share the grief the people of Pakistan feel over this event. Here's wishing for a more just and peaceful world.

I feel it's important to take a moment to express my heartfelt condolences to the people of Pakistan in the wake of the terrible assassination of Benazir Bhutto. I hope the country and people can stand tall in the face of this tragedy.
