There are a some good looking women on SC, some that a doctor wouldn't tell that they have a life threatening problem.  I really appreciate it when someone gives me a clue as to what lays behind an SC link, so that I can risk clicking it without being shocked.  It really is a shame when I have to miss the shots of healthy ladies because I'm not looking for pics of people with medical problems.  Some good stuff goes to waste, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who struggles with the risk/reward issue with clicking SC links.

Personally I think posting pictures of people that are medically at risk because of their weight in a forum that is not specifically for that material is dehumanizing for these women, since it can be assumed that this is not what most of us are here for, and are not likely to appreciate them. I had a friend that would use pictures like that to intentionally try to gross people out.  I think that's degrading for the subject, and I think that might be some of what's going on here.  I would think it would be more appropriate to post such material in a forum that is specifically for that material, where these women might be more generally appreciated.  Of course, that would also imply that we are encouraging women to maintain an unhealthy condition.  As the fashion industry has begun banning underweight women for health reasons, it might be a good idea to not encourage the opposite either.  These women are apparently being compensated to display themselves in their current life threatening condition.  I want no part in encouraging that any more than I want a part in encouraging kiddy porn.
