I'm not sure wetlook is becoming more acceptable here in the USA. About a week ago I saw this news report on 20/20 about how some swimming holes in creeks and rivers are being closed off due to liability reasons. I think, for the same reason, law enforcement is cracking down on people who swim in fountains, clothed or dressed in swimwear. There also seems to be more of a war against non-conformity that's being waged here in the USA since the election of George W. Bush in 2000 and 9/11. Also, the invention of aquasocks 20 years ago, along with the increased popularity of flip-flops now, have cut down on people who will wade in a stream with their shoes on. It seems like only old ladies do that anymore. Last week I took a trip to Gooseberry Falls in Minnesota, and almost everyone who wore footwear wore aquasocks or tevas. I think back in the 70s and early 80s, more people would have worn tennis shoes.

A video like this will be seen by millions of people around the world, and since almost all women wear jeans, it should give many the idea of

doing that themselves. There are also many youtubes in which a guy throws his blue jeaned girlfriend into the water. They wouldn't do that without the ladies' implied permission, so clearly wet jeans are popular with a lot of guys and gals.

I'm looking forward to a time when people pretty much forget about swimsuits and wear their clothes into the water. Here in Seattle it seems every year more people get their clothes wet (on a hot day) at the fountains, lakes etc.

Have you noticed in your part of the world that wet clothing is becoming more accepted and more popular?
