Thanks for sharing this jewel - I am real vintage fan.

According to an old friend of mine, Roger Carpenter, the oldest movie containing deliberate wetlook is a remake of the "L' Arroseur arrosé" from about 190x .

A gardener is watering the flowers; a young Girl steps on the hose, blocking the flow of water; the gardener looks down the hose to see what's happening. The Girl lifts his foot off - finally the gardener getting the water back on her.

This is probably the earliest known purposely-made wetlook film ever made. Made in the early 1930's as a nudie film, 2 girls show up at a swimming pool, and have no swim suits. So they decide to swim in their dresses instead. See the free video here
