It is not the original, however, which is a striking electronic piece from the 1492: Conquest of Paradise film soundtrack. The original has "wordpainting" vocals in pseudo-Latin that mean nothing -- see http://www.engelen.demon.nl/1492.htm#CONQUEST -- whereas the YouTube video has a curious remake with new lyrics.

I kinda prefer the original, myself :) Not as cheesy.
