I think your pictures are good. And your son is getting some really great shots also. Waterfalls are so much fun to shoot,with the water looking so silky smooth.I have always loved photography and there have been a few cameras since my Nikon FM back twenty-five years ago.The new digital stuff is awesome. It is so easy to capture perfect moments and you can take the pics so fast. No worry of f stops or shutter speeds these days. Nearly all the pictures posted to the web now are of a reasonably good quality.Mainly I suspect because we are all using the digital camera.Some may say Oh it was too dark or you could have used a filter. And I could go on with scenarios. But this is the way it is.... You take good pics and you are having fun.You don't need to bother with all the tech stuff, cause for all intents and purposes your camera is doing what it should for your appliction. I have taken thousands of pics and have had a lot of them posted to the web. Some of them pretty good and some of them too dark or too this or too that. I don't care. The moment is everything to me. That is a really great pic of you and Jen. I think they are all dandy.Please keep up the good stuff. And give your son a pat on the back for a great job too! And I wish him the best of luck with the Nikon SLR. Yahoooooooooooo!

Now, my son just got a Nikon D50 digital SLR camera and this is a camera!! Here are a few samples of pictures he took on this same trip:

I don't have the luxury of f-stops and shutter speeds. All of our pictures are done with a point and shoot (Olympus Stylus 500) so keep this in mind when viewing our pictures and trying to compare them to the pros. We do this on the side and it isn't our business so we do the best we can with our family camera.

It is a great shot. I love jeans anyway and Jen wears them so well :>)

That said, this is an example of the exact opposite problem that I am always bitching about. You actually have too much sun. Photographially, you should have used two or more 'more' f-stops (if you have control over f-stop). I use a polarized filter for most of my daylight shots. This would have taken the 'glare' off the white shirt so you could see it better.

Again, that is just technical babble. The sot itself is really neat.

So far, I have really liked almost all of your photos. Many of them have been very difficult shots done very well. Keep it up.

What's anyone else think? I think this is maybe the best picture ever to come out of our camera and I didn't even take it. It was taken by Jennifer's son! Maybe we have a photographer in the making?? I just love this picture!!
