I recall as a young schoolboy in the 1960s......thumbing thru various books written by Harold Robbins.....cos his books always used to the best source to contain various references to wet clothing, that were a bit of a thrill.....but when the movie versions of his books came out....they were always a bit of a disappointment.....cos they never depicted the wetlook references in the movies the same way they were so nicely penned in his books.

ps...I have the wet scenes from the movie version of The Virgin and the Gypsy....and it's the same thing as Harold Robbins....the movie version of those scenes are shot in a very disappointing way.

H Lawrence has quite a lot of wetlook in his books - Lady Chatter;ey's Lover has along scene in which LC goes running inthe rain semi-dressed and then naked andthen walks hoe soaked through. In The Virgin And The Gypsy, a dam bursts and the heroine wades through her flooded house, and makes love tot he gypsy with her mother's dead body bobbing about downstairs...
