Yes...very realistic....it must have cost the prop department at least $5 to add some bits of rope to a guy wearing a scuba suit....ha ha

This scuba monster guy really looks no different to Dustin Hoffman's famous scuba scene in "The Graduate"...ha ha

I grew up on great props like that.....like the Daleks from Dr Who....i.e. basically a trash can on wheels....with a toilet plunger for an arm.

Actually I prefer those old B movies that don't take themselves so seriously and only have pennies for a budget...they are often way better that so called big budget movies costing 150 million dollars or more. I recently watched the Stephen Spielberg/Tom Cruise version of "War of the World"....and despite it's huge budget and great special effects...the script was loaded with huge flaws in the script (illogical actions and continuity errors), and the result was just a special fx marvel with a totally assinine script.....you could drive a truck thru all the gaping holes in this illogical script. I have seen better storylines than that on Dr Who. Spielberg should have remained faithful to H.G. Wells book, and not attempted to tell a story from a "point of view" camera angle....i.e. from Tom Cruise's point of view.

You can excuse low budget films for being a load of crap....but films costing 100 million or more that are a load of crap have no excuses at all.

I came across this video at YouTube.  It's a trailer from a low-budget film from the mid-60s
