I have also found that feedback tends to be minimal, which is very annoying. It takes much more creative effort to write than it does to post pictures that other people have taken (no offence meant to the producers who post previews and freebies here), and even the tiniest bit of feedback means a lot to a writer. That even applies if the feedback isn't good, by the way.

I actually have another story in the pipeline at the moment, and will post it once its done. To those budding writers out there, I think the thing to do is keep writing irrespective - if at least one other person enjoys what you have written, then you have increased the joy in the world and its been worth it! Besides, if you're anything like me, you will enjoy the writing process in and of itself - it also allows you to relive your own memories in a different, more considered, way.
