Wetlook World Forum

I remember a conversation we had on ICQ when I think she first told me what her hairstyle was (I had yet to see a photo of her) and she said she didn't have a fringe (bangs, for the Americans). We both sent each other message at the same time opining that fringes don't look got wet :) I have certainly mentioned wetlook to other girls online, and views have been quite varied. One girl finds it most unpleasant, another finally tried after a few years and found it also enjoyable, that was really sweet. Jenny, for whom I wrote the short story "The Valley" (it's on my site) never understood it, wet people to her "just look wet". I don't think she was opposed to it, though.

The funniest thing is how I came to no longer keep wetlook a total secret with people I knew (besides e-mailing Messmaster of UMD fame). I wanted to give a friend a URL, and I have a little CMM on the Mac whereby I can right-click a URL file (Internet Location File) and copy its name to the clipboard. It failed (the one and only time it ever did, no less!), and I pasted the previous URL into the message window, without realising what I'd done. So poor Adam gets a link to a wetlook page, and he teased me for ages afterwards about that, in jest of course :) After that, I didn't feel as bad about it, but it's become too much of an obsession since, sadly. I am sure I've mentioned it in chatrooms on various occasions, but no funny or interesting conversations come to mind. What I can say is that girls -- geek and nerl girls at least -- are typically not opposed to it in any way as such. Whether they'd enjoy it enough to participate in it later, I don't know. The first rule of being a nerd is we don't get relationships even of the dry kind, that's what MPEG movies were really invented for :D
