I was a lifeguard in highschool and I have to agree with having rules for a public pool. It's an easy fix for a big crowd. I had a suit that had hook n eyes on the front and a girl with long hair got stuck in it. She freaked out and panic set in. She tried to pull me under. I swam to the side of the pool with her hooked to my chest. Then, a couple of people helped get her off. Most places like the YMCA will allow you to rent out the pool. You sign a waiver for liability and can have fun. It depends on the place.

We have had some strange reactions walking on to a beach fully clothed and then just walking all the way into the water. Guys stare and their wives shot us dirty looks like we're perverts. They can be wearing bikinis and have all sorts of body parts hanging out and we're the freaks. Whatever happened to keeping alittle surprise....the excitement is gone if you give it all way (or at least show it all).

I know for a fact that many woman love to get wet and we talk about it openly with each other. We just don't care to have a bunch of guys acting like fools. I was just talking to a girl that I work with about loving water. She's the water baby and he likes camping so they make a deal to do both. I think girls are able to get wet easier than guys. It's funny how open we are with each other.

Hopefully oneday we all can just have fun together.

In books and some films you can see fetishes performed as part of the film or drama. Sometimes the fetish is seen as a cause for humour. At least these 'odd' behaviours are shown and recognised as erotic pleasures. My only sort of fetish is my love of wetlook but where is it properly shown - nowhere. Yes, you see it in pop videos and sometimes in adverts when people want to sell things but generally it is rare to get good wetlook in films. We still talk of favourite wetlook from the 1970s tv series - that should not be the case.

My theory is that there are more people into wetlook than we could ever imagine BUT they are too scared to show their little fetish. Just look at a party or at the beach when someone gets thrown in fully clothed - instantly there are loads of people coming to get a good look or even a photo. My favourite pleasure in the world is to swim with my clothes on with my girlfriend and she agrees with me. We would love to walk into our local sports centre and just jump into the pool in our street clothes but they wont let us. This is wrong. We swim in rivers and lakes in our jeans, shoes and shirts but we are keen that no one can see us. My girlfriend loves to jump into pools in her clothes but some of the things people say to her when she gets out are so unkind - why?

Who really cares what they think but we are scared of being seen to be so very different. When will we be able to choose what we want to wear in the water? A hundred years ago women did swim in their clothes - now they wear very little. I long for the day when we can walk down the beach and straight into the water in our clothes and be joined by other equally liberated people.

I suppose we have to start this thing ourselves and then others will join in.
