I think that there are narrow minded people everywhere lets hope they never get elected to public office or something. I would too mention however, that if the pool is properly clorinated, there should be no danger too anyones health.
Besides one of the risks of swimming in public is putting up with the public. I would also have all wetlook fans look for photos of pool swimmers with out shoes. I dont like it when they dont wear them because it makes no sence too remove them. If you step in dog doo, I hope your not swimming in the pool, but changing your shoes. You should know that your clothes or swimsuits for that matter are clean before, it just makes sence |

By Sopping - Fri 09/12/05 14:23:30 GMT I am afraid I agree with one element, and that is shoes. An average walk through streets, covered with dog shit, the impact zones of people spitting and garbage and people's throwaways such will add a significant layer of crud to one's shoes in the course of a day. This is crud I do not want to be co-located with me when I swim, sometimes open my eyes underwater, and occasionally suck in a mouthful.
She is way off base in her observations, re clothing in the water. But I agree with her on the shoes...and I know most of the shoe and foot weenies here do not, so save your breath.
