You can never really know the demographics of forum readers (lurkers), and yes, you can't be all that certain about those who post either. In all the time I've surfed around the wetlook/WAM sites, forums, etc., I've encountered all too many "posers". In the absence of any real evidence, all we can do is speculate around the clues we see or hear. For all we know, there could be vast numbers of girls/women who enjoy swimming/showering in their clothes, or getting messy. They may be doing it for any of a number of reasons including sexual/sensual stimulation. We may never know for sure because it just might not occur to most of them to surf the net and talk about it. On the other hand, the only ones who are into it are the ones we already know about. Depends on whether you want to fill in the blanks from an optimistic or pessimistic point of view.

One major problem which I've seen all to often is guys taking an adversarial position, seeking to unmask every young woman who posts here as an imposter. It always produces one of two possible outcomes: (1) unmasks the imposter (if it was) or (2) alienates the very people who should be welcomed. I don't enjoy the prospect of being taken in by some guy with nothing better to do than pretend he's a 19 year-old co-ed, but neither do I care for the prospect of this forum (and chat rooms) being basically a men-only club.

So, we are left with the question we started with. How many women are actually lurking out there? How can we encourage them to "de-lurk"? How will they be welcomed? How do we sort out the real women from the inevitable posers without driving the real women away?

Are there actually women out there who read this forum? I have asked a few times and seldom get responses. Usually, when you do it is someone claiming to be a 19 year old co-ed. As soon as they say that I visualize a 60 year old guy with a beer gut and big cigar sitting around in his doublewide.

It is unfortunate that the chat lines have died out.

I am beginning to doubt that there are any average, normal age desperate (ex)housewives who enjoy wetlook and who are not afraid to chat about it.

This is a great web site and I love it. If fills the need for a fetish and the photos and videos are great. But, we are a huge community. There isn't a lot of chatter among us. I think most of us are voyeurs and not participants.
