Here in Bakersfield, every Thursday night through the summer, KLLY 95.3 FM is sponsoring a poolside party at Jungle Cafe downtown. Free hamburgers and hot dogs (free food is enough to get me there). I went there last night. Only one woman went in clothed (jean shorts and black tank top). Another woman in tan khaki capri pants sat poolside, and might as well have went in, she got soaked by splashes. This week was the first week. I hope for bigger crowds and more clothed people to go in in future weeks. Editor: you and Elizabeth should go there. I will try to go every week, except next week (going to Kings County Fair and the Palace Indian Casino next week). I told one dj (Party Boy Bueller) that there should be a prize for the best dressed person who goes in the pool. He said he would ask station management about it.
