one was a nice beach was cut off by the tide- the only way of getting to it was across a small spit. we were all sat on the headland waiting-. as the tide went out some brave souls swam across and stated their claim to the golden sands.

soon it was possible to wade through some tried it wearing wet suits- albeit with the water up to at their chests- the occasional wave going over their heads.

it was not long before the water had gone down to waist height and everyone was trying to get around.

Some were wearing beach ware, but others were yet to change still wearing their day clothes.

Several mums with push chairs in t shirts and denim mini skirts ventured out.. it started quite gradualy with the water lapping at their feet. they screamed as it it was a bit cold. half way around it suddeny got deeper and i watched as their thighs and the bottoms of their skirts got wet.. the wind whipped up another big wave and soaked them. they screamed and encouraged their brood forwards.

there was one pretty young girl in a lovely white spotted dress- she was with some friends who were in bikinis, but she was not. the waves got her too, it was great to see.

once on the beach things setteled down, however i did see 2 ladies - mid 30's who had forgotten their swimming stuff go into the water wearing dark tops and knickers[ nothing else ]they came out and walked right past me .

it was great.
