for instance during travels to countries outside of the extended west (all of North America, all of Europe, some tourist destinations elswhere) in many countries only one of the cards works in ATMs and more often it is Visa at the moment. Why ban yourself from travel to many Asian & African & Middle Eastern destinations and many websites while having one card is never a good idea even at home and when having more it's always better to have different companies.
