Won't help Greece, the monuments are too old to be protected, unless the lights are on.
Stupid crazy EU. |

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Thu 02/07/15 02:13:14 GMT But look at the bright side. This is the perfect solution for the Greeks to solve their debt problems. All they have to do is enforce this proposed law in the form of a licensing tax on all foreign tourists visiting Greece who take pictures of their monuments. They simply have officials stationed at the airport who examine the micro SD cards of all exiting tourists and apply a $10 tax per each digital photo taken inside their country, or else they confiscate your camera and sell it.
It going to be tough though for the stormchasers who take pictures of tornados and hurricanes where they make their living by selling their photos for profit, cos those things are defined by the insurance industry as acts of God, and so that means in future they will need to obtain God's permission if they want to sell photos of those things that God has created.
Anyway, it is comforting to know that in this age of terrorism the EU wants to spend it's resources focusing on tourists carrying digital cameras instead of focusing all of their energy on people carrying AR15's and AK47's.

By Nigel - nigel@wetlook.com Wed 01/07/15 11:05:48 GMT Website: https://www.change.org/p/european-parliament-save-the-freedom-of-photography-savefop-europarl-en/ http://www.change.org/p/european-parliament-save-the-freedom-of- The freedom of taking photos in public places is under attack. Until now, in most countries in Europe you were safe to take and publish photographs that are taken from public ground – This is called Freedom of Panorama. When you were on vacation, you could take a photo from the London Eye and share it with your friends on Facebook*. If someone wanted to pay you for using this photo, that was okay as well. Both is about to change may destroy photography as we know it.
Please sign the petition against a very stupid law.
