Tried and true halogen lights are probably best when you want to light a subject and get the colours to come out correctly. Unfortunately, because they are incandescent, there's no getting away from the limited efficiency and the heat they put out. I'd agree with you that the higher efficiency light is probably the cause of your colour balance problem.

I noticed more difficulty getting correct color tones (white balance) on Gina's shoot.Much more photoshop work! Now that you made me think about it, i just replaced one 600w light with a different 600w light that supposed to output 1000w equivalent light. It may be why the white balance went crazy. Thanks for the critique. |
