I don't doubt you, Graham. For that matter, it's possible to copy pretty much any media, thanks to photocopiers, tape decks, VCRs, etc. Technology has made it much easier for freeloaders and thieves. What I really hate is the attitude that just because it's possible to copy something, that it's okay to copy it. |

By Graham (Styx) - Mon 05/01/09 06:00:53 GMT Sorry to tell you but its VERY easy to bypass attempts at blocking right-clicks. And just as easy to bypass all other attempts at stopping images being copied. The bottom line is that the only way of ensuring images are not copied is to not put them on the Net in the first place. |
In reply to Message (38549.4) Permission?
By aquaboots - Mon 05/01/09 01:36:01 GMT Just to be nosy, but do you have permission from the person/people posting the image(s) to download them? I'm an amateur photographer, and I decided against posting my images on a site like Flikr for fear of them being copied illegally (i.e.: without my permission). Hence, I built my own site, and did it in a way that disables right-clicking. If someone wants to download an image, they would have to contact me and ask for it. |
