my gf wets her leather shoes and boots all the time. you can see many pairs of designers shoes on my site which she has been wet in. tell her they will be fine. and if not, just replace them for her.

any advice on wetting leather?My ladyfriend is reluctant to soak a realatively new pair of knee boots for fear of ruining them,she wets clothes and some older shoes but I just want to see these black boots wet,can they be protected before wetting?
