I use my purchased images/photosets as desktop backgrounds and it always annoys me to no end that most wetlook images are in portrait mode though the computer displays are in landscape mode.

The new Photoshop 2024 has just been released with incredible new AI tools - Generative Fill and Generative Expand, which can generate a landscape picture from a portrait picture. You can generate several versions of the image. I am impressed with this new functionality.

Though it can sometimes look fake, it is still better that two thirds of the screen empty. Here are some samples:
