Driving a car drenched with soaked seats is so nice.
i had a s'box of a car that i was junking when its mot ran out so in the last month of that i used it for going to the lake fully clothed and drove if while wet, i also took lots of water bottles with me to pour over myself while driving around (safely of course). the car was an old ford cortina so the seats carpet etc stayed wet for ages which wasnt a problem. my long running car collection has and still is rear engine skodas my current daily driver has no permanent floor carpet just removable mats holes drilled and pained in the floor so the water can get out if its not going to be really hot out i use disposable seat covers like they use in body/mechanic shops (also i drive home from mud sess too. in the hot summer months i just let the seats get soaked as the dry out in a day or two. i have gone to work a few times with the seats not fully dry, about 15 mins into the journey you start to realize your bum is getting wet. so the plastic seat covers are good also if you dont want to arrive at work with a wet skirt.
you could also buy a cheap car that you can run for a year or so as a second car then scrap when it gets too buggered from getting soaked, just make sure if its modern there are no electrics under the carpets, alot of modern ones have electrical stuff there these days.
great thing about driving soaking wet is feeling the water slosh around on your seat and in your shoes/boots as the g forces are applied. one quick tip if you drive muddy and wear the seat belt remember to take a clothes peg or something to not let it roll back into the roll, its a bugger if it gets jammed up.

In reply to Message (81539) Today I heard an argument against swimming clothed I'd not heard before
By WetCasual - wetcasual@yahoo.com Sun 31/05/20 20:06:06 GMT Website: https://www.flickr.com/photos/8131233@N08/ I've heard the usual ones:
-It's weird/no sane person does that -It's too heavy -It gets so cold -The clothes get ruined
But it was new to me hearing "I wouldn't get the car seats wet" as the sole argument...
