That is one of the crosses we have to bear with a 1996 era forum that has not been modernized in the last 24 years.....i.e. when you post a message and make an error, there is no feature where you can re-edit your message after it is posted. You can edit your posts on UMD....but not here.

The 4 main problems with this forum that have not been improved in 24 years are ...

1) No usernames are unqiue to 1 user, no user profiles, anonymous postings.....so people can and do use the same usernames and impersonate people here....so you never know who is a real poster and who is an imposter.

2) No ability to upload images

3) No auto embedding of Youtubes

4) No ability to edit your message if you make a typing error. Once it is posted it cannot be edited.

I have asked Nigel many times over the last 10 years to modernize his forum, but he wants to leave things in the dinosaur age.

All these are basic forum  features today and on UMD....but here we are stuck with a 1996 forum than has had no new features added in the last 24 years.

UMD is like a new Mercedes while this forum is an old VW Beetle that many folks love......it works....but it is like a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

2021 will be the 25th Anniversary of this forum. Let's hope it will be improved by then and not stuck in 1996.
