For me, these are separate issues
1. A you tube subscriber does not 'own' a playlist; it is merely a collection of available videos that they have categorised for the convenience of themselves and others. Therefore, it can be shared in the same way as any other link.
2. I couldn't agree more that anybody should check playlists and it is their responsibility that they are not sharing questionable material. |

It is one thing to make a list available for private individuals who can choose from it for their own reasons, not necessarily sexual. It is a different thing to post that list on a fetish website, which is the same as saying "everything on this list is appropriate for your fetish". At the very least, the poster has to have watched every single vid on the list to check that every one complies with Forum rules, which obviously didn't happen in at least two of these cases. And there is a possible consequence of posting a list, which gets criticised as a result of having been posted, which I have no intention of spelling out..... |

I'm not sure I agree. There are many different ways of saving playlists or favourites. I feel that if somebody posts a collection of other people's uploaded videos in a public forum on a video sharing website, then the purpose is to share this footage with others. While this may not always be the case, I think it is reasonable to think that the majority of people would would be happy to share their playlists. |

It seems to me to be wrong in principle to post the youtube (or Flickr, or anything else) collections of other people. These are the personal property of the people concerned; they have their own reasons for the vids they have chosen which are not necessarily the same reasons as those which might make the vids of interest to people on this Forum. If collection owners want them publicised they can post them themselves.
(And before anyone makes fatuous allegations, no, neither of the collections which have recently been posted is mine, but both have been around for a long time and I am confident that they would have been posted here long ago had their owners wanted that to happen.)
