I'm writing a story about a group of girls who get shipwrecked and have to swim with their clothes on.

The link below is a picture of one of the girls in my story. She is wearing dungarees and wellies (rain boots). What would happen if she swam wearing this outfit? Would she likely drown? How difficult would swimming be if she kept her dungarees and boots on? Would her boots probably fall off?
