...the words sound like Louisiana Cajun. "Jambalaya" was a big hit for Jo Stafford 50 or so years ago. Unless you know the Cajun dialect, you won't understand half of the words without a translation (see link above if interested - not wetlook). So my guess is, the song is either of Cajun origin, or somebody used some lousy translation software. Oops, off topic.

I've found on a very strange website this oldfashion american Folksong. Ich think it must come from the land around the Missisippi. Mabe near St. Louis, because there are some french elements in it. Does sombody know this wonderful old Song ?
