To buy a whole sim is quite expensive! It will cost money not only in the beginning but all the time. It's not that easy to maintain it. I know people who do just that: owning a complete sim. But they have built a danceclub and houses and the houses are rented and thus generate money. So you need people who can build and also can do some terraforming, because a basic "sim" is nothing more than a virtual island. Flat, green and empty. You gotta build and landscape a lot to make it something to behold. Anyway, for me it would be far too time consuming. Yes I know the Akuna club. I already visited it back in 2007. I've been there at parties too but you must not compare that to real poolparties of course. The theme was more like (BD)SM-ish and not so much wetlook. I am no longer a member of that club. You can be a member to no more than 25 groups so sometimes you have to sacrifice a group to join another. Still, I very much like SL. I've got a lot of friends there from all over the world with all kinds of lifestyles. BTW: if you still would decide to buy land in SL, I would like to help you building. I know a couple of things about building and what I don't know I know whom to ask! |

By soggybottom - Sun 12/10/08 11:01:28 GMT Thanks for responding. I've been in sl sunce spring 08. I've been doing about the same thing. I get discouraged. I'm sure a lot of the 'women' in sl are really men. Guess there is no way to prevent that. I met a few people who I enjoy being with. One in particular is into wetlook and is in this forum often. She suggested building a SIM for us and those with our interests. I don't know how to build these and don't have a lot of money to dump into sl let alone rl. Especially in these economics. I know that there are some wet clothes providers in sl. I'm sure that If we could interest product and service providers to sell in an area we could open something for our interests. Just a thought. There are really few places for us. Akunavideos has a wet dance floor but there is seldome anyone there. Keep in touch if you are interested. |
