No not in the Midlands, but if ever you are in the Yorkshire Dales area Bolton Abbey and the River Wharfe that runs through the grounds of the ruins is good, as is the Ingleton Glens. The Glens are a popular tourist attraction with waterfalls, and when it is hot it is a great place for jumping into water and swimming. However be warned, the Glens are very dangerous and care needs to be excercised in choosing a good spot. Many people have died over the years by not following the advice of the sign posts and keeping to pathways, but in amongst the danger zones there are some really good spots for safe swimming. Water is very cold though.
The area around and below Beezley Falls is moderately OK if you are sensible.
