A very good question, and one that has bothered me most of my life. I am now in my late fifties and I have been a swim-in-clothes addict all of my life. Indeed some of my early childhood memories are of secret or accidental wettings. This has evolved through my adolescence and into a very happy married life with a wife who, though not an active wetlooker, has joined me in many wet adventures and who tries to understand the pleasure I get from both being wet and seeing others in the same state.
Early on, I considered my passion to be very odd and peculiar to me. For this reason I indulged only strictly in private except for a few occasions, for instance when on holiday at the seaside, when I may have the excuse to go into the sea in my jeans etc. Indeed, only when I discovered the wet scene on the internet in the late nineties, did I realise that my habits were not unique. Since then I have been more and more open and daring when indulging my clothed swimming and whereas I would have been most embarrassed to have been seen, I now have the confidence to ignore the presence of other people.
We have had a long heatwave in the UK and, living close to the upper reaches of the river Thames, I have frequently driven to a local riverside car park and, dressed in shirt, jeans and shoes, waded into the river for a swim. Any curious passer by simply has the explanation that ‘it is so hot, I just could not resist it!’. I have even sat in the shallows and waved to passengers in passing boats. You see, age and experience has shown me that as long as I am not presenting any threat to anyone, my activities are, in general, ignored. Just the same, I don’t deliberately look for an audience.
My thanks to everyone on this forum who has given me the confidence to enjoy being wet in clothes.

In reply to Message (23935) When do you prefer to swim clothed, with many people or no people around?
By Victor - victor.ivanovich@mail.ru Mon 31/07/06 02:37:05 GMT Maybe a silly question to ask. But nevertherless. Which do you prefer, to swim clothed when 1)There are no people around. Of course, it's difficult to find such a place, so I'll formulate it in a different way: "The fewer people the better". Advantages: you won't attract unwanted attention, you don't run the risk of being bothered with silly questions. 2)"The more people the better". Advantages: In this case you can show off! Isn't it great! Besides, if you set the example there is a chance that someone may follow. And what a sence of freedom! To do something odd, though not illegal in front of other people! Let's show them the best way of swimming! 3)"I don't care". Advantages: Many people or no people, what difference does it make? You've come to have fun, you don't bother anyone, so why should you care about the number of people and their reaction. Just have your way. That's all.
What do you think? Thank you for your replies in advance.
