I think you nailed it - there's a certain passion and attention to detail that's lacking from a lot of modern stuff. I'm not expecting designer/luxury brands worn by supermodels in exotic places (though it's a nice bonus if available) - you got to work with what you have, but there's more to it than just having someone wear wet clothes. The little things, the points of emphasis, the genuine vibes... they contribute to a work of art.

Agree with you on everything. Pretty sure at least a couple of thier models have actually admitted it did turn them on btw, so not always an act on that site.

Now lots of stuff is just poorly lit scenes in dank bathrooms, done quickly by people with no passion for it.

There was something just right about the level of sexiness. Often now wam is done by naked/underwear models, or zero sexiness. The middle ground seems to have gone, with people seemingly equating nude=sexy.

Then you have stuff like Getyoursnaps claiming "THIS SCENE IS SO HOT YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT", while a model maybe, possibly is braless and nothing else sexy happens.

The subtle touching breasts and between legs, the upskirt shots showing stocking tops, the cheeky peek showing no underwear. Those are SEXY. Those are now missing.

I wanted to get a couple shower thoughts off my chest:

Since Wetlook-Online folded up, I've wondered if any of the other producers out there really made a study of their content. Speaking for myself, a lot of their content REALLY worked. The models were cute-hot, the outfits had variety, the scenes were intimate and sizzling, classy and usually very well lit. There were little slo-mo scenes on the real wetlook "money shots". There were themes. The models clearly understood the assignment and touched their wet-clothed bodies, really giving the impression that they were themselves getting off to the whole experience of drenching their sexy threads... I could go on.

Not that there aren't other producers out there that put in effort, but I wanted to hold Wetlook-Online's work up as my personal "gold standard" for erotic wetlook, and I hope others will take some ideas from them.

There's one other producer out there that gives me the kind of adrenaline rush I got from Wetlook Online, and that's xxSmiley. She definitely gets it, but she's only one person.

I also wanted to draw attention to the emergence of "PMVs" out there on the web. If any producers out there are looking for inspiration -- look at the editing that PMV creators are doing, and apply that to erotic wetlook. The possibilities are limitless.

Another untapped space I'm noticing is the e-girl aesthetic. E-girl wetlook would be amazing, but I think they would need someone sanity-checking it for a wetlook-oriented audience.

Also why are we not seeing more cosplay? Aren't there thousands of fictional characters out there that loads of people want to see getting erotically soaked? I'm aware of -some- being done, but not to the level of quality of a lot of dedicated mainstream wetlook. Imagine an upbeat wetlook PMV with a Lara Croft cosplayer really enjoying getting her iconic outfit soaked again and again. That would have my dollars!
