Thanks for the tip. I generally use Firefox, so the IE content folder is clean if I just use it for youtube. The MP4s are easy to find. Thanks again, cause it's the HQ vids that are best. |

By ytsen - Fri 02/04/10 13:20:08 GMT Files type flv are still working (low resolution). Only mp4 type stopped. If you are surfing with IE go to "Temporary internet files / Content IE/ open the folders and look for the mp4 file. Rename the file to the original name. Before you are looking Youtube, you should empty the catch to mimimize the number of files storred. Switch to sort by size, brings you the films to the top.
If you have done some times you can optimize this work.
Everything you see, is somewhere storred on your PC (not working for streaming video) |
In reply to Message (43755) Real Player & Youtube - any way to make it work again?
By Phoenix - Fri 02/04/10 13:02:36 GMT Hi, once upon a time, Real Player was a great way to download Youtubes. You got a nice pop up Download Video box right above the video in your browser of choice (worked with Internex Explorer and Firefox at least). It stopped working as many other options, some days ago of course. Now Youtubes just generate an "Unable to download video" message. Real Media doesn't seem to be working on a way to update at the moment, so maybe someone knows a way to make it work again? It was waaaay easier then using all the download sites, copying the URLS, looking for the sources etc. Mike
