What a bummer.....the only time in 20 years of taping the lake dunking scenes at the Nabisco LPGA (formerly called the Dinah Shore classic...it was Dinah who started the dunking tradition)...the only time in all these years that the winner was wearing a nice skirt & matching top (instead of truck driver's shorts as they normally wear)....and ABC television blew it. They failed to air the dunking scenes.

In my area, we have 2 different ABC affiliates..and both of them cut off the dunking scenes, cos they were running over-time..and went to local news instead...so you saw nothing on tv my area except for Ms Park winning shot..and then they cut away.

I did some checking to see if she actually jumped in or not (cos the Korean women golfers have long been criticized for being stony faced and being anti-social and lacking a sense of humour....so I figured that maybe she refused to jump in....which is why ABC did not show it)....but I just found this pic off Reuters...and apparently she DID jump in the lake in her green dress....so all we seem to have on this is this still photo...ABC did not air it.

If anybody catches replay footage of the actual dunking on ESPN or a Sports Channel in their country....let me know..

Wait a minute...forget ABC...I get 4 Korean channels on my satellite system...I bet one of them shows it, cos she is a native of Korea....I guess I have better tape those channels for the next 24hrs.
